Client Context
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Innovation Center (CMMI) required a scalable, modern platform to test, evaluate, and oversee new healthcare payment and service models. Conventional data exchange methods were complex, slow, and created significant administrative burdens for both CMS and the model participants.
Our Approach
Global Alliant, through the Innovation Support Platform (ISP), is at the forefront of applying FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources) standards to healthcare innovation. By utilizing cloud-agnostic architectures, data automation, and human-centered design, GA is helping CMS streamline data exchange, lower complexity, and meet federal interoperability goals.
Impact Delivered
Our collaboration with the CMS Innovation Center is establishing a clear pathway to FHIR-based data exchange that can expand across various use cases and programs. This lowers administrative burdens, enhances data quality, and aligns with CMS’s broader strategic vision for interoperability and digital health innovation. Ultimately, these efforts accelerate the adoption of modern healthcare IT standards, enabling better outcomes for patients, providers, and policymakers.
This is what it means to Deliver IT Right; smarter systems, reduced burden, and measurable mission impact.
