Following a successful career in bioscience research, Dr. Natarajan spent many years in public service, serving as Maryland Deputy Secretary of State and Maryland Commissioner of Transportation. He was the first Indian-American in Maryland history appointed to such high positions within state government. During his tenure as public servant, he introduced and implemented policies that fostered success among small and mid-sized businesses. September, 2020 - Global Alliant is pleased to announce that is has received its Small Business Administration 8(a) certification. This prestigious certification has a nine-year lifespan and allows participating companies to complete for
set-aside and sole-sourced Federal contracts.
Global Alliant is part of SBA 8(a) program, certified 08/13/2020. The SBA certifies firms that are approved for a period of nine years which provides small businesses fair advantage to compete with other mid and large established businesses. Under the program participants can receive sole source contracts, up to a ceiling of $4 million for goods and services.

March, 2021 - Global Alliant is pleased to announce that it has won the Montgomery County, Maryland, LCATS 3 contract. This contract allows Global Alliant to provide its IT consulting and technical services for Montgomery County for 5 years.
The Department of Technology Services (DTS) utilizes this vehicle to procure IT consulting and technical services for Montgomery County under the County Local Small Business Reserve Program (LSBRP). June 15, 2021 - Global Alliant is pleased to announce that it has received the GSA 8(a) STARS III GWAC award. STARS III is a multiple-award indefinite-delivery/ indefinite-quantity contract designed to provide federal agencies with cutting edge IT services-based solutions from vetted 8(a) small, disadvantaged businesses, in support of meeting their contracting goals.
8(a) STARS III, a small business set-aside GWAC, provides flexible access to customized IT solutions from a large, diverse pool of 8(a) industry partners. This next-generation GWAC builds upon the framework of 8(a) STARS II and expands capabilities for emerging technologies and outside the continental United States (OCONUS) requirements.
With a $50 billion program ceiling and a five-year base period with one three-year option, 8(a) STARS III provides opportunities for 8(a) small businesses to provide customized IT solutions.

Through Consulting and Technical Services+ (CATS+) the State will have a flexible means of obtaining information technology (IT) resources quickly, efficiently and cost effectively by issuing task orders specific to its needs.The objective of this Master Contract, effective April 22, 2013 through April 21, 2028, is to enable State government to procure IT consulting and technical services in a timely and economical manner.Global Alliant received its Maryland CATS+ certification in 2019.
